Drinking and Driving is a lethal combination!

Our teenagers are taking on new responsibilities every day.  They are required to make new decisions.  Some of these are associated with becoming a new driver, or with travelling in cars with other young drivers.  They also have to make decisions related to social occasions where alcohol may be present.

The DARE Foundation of New Zealand and the New Zealand Police, in association with Caltex have designed DARE to Drive to Survive, a programme for senior secondary students.  This programme aims to help young people make informed and responsible decisions about alternatives to driving after drinking, and enables students to adopt a safe approach to the social occasions where alcohol plays a part.
